Below is our insurance coverage information for Georgia:

Outside the Box is currently in network with the following providers in Georgia: Georgia Medicaid (straight Medicaid), Peach State Health Plan (PSHP), CareSource, and Amerigroup.

If your insurance plan is considered out of network (such as BCBS, Humana, Aetna, etc.), we offer cash pay options. We can also provide itemized invoices for you to submit to your insurance company so that sessions may be applied toward your out-of-network deductible.

If your child has an out-of-network insurance plan but also has Katie Beckett Medicaid as secondary coverage, we are able to accept your insurance plan.

Aquatic therapy provides unique benefits that aren’t always possible on land. The water offers uniform support, buoyancy to reduce body weight, and constant pressure to improve body awareness. Children who struggle with balance, strength, or walking on land often find it easier to practice these skills in the pool, making progress toward important motor milestones. The pool can also be used to either stimulate or calm, depending on your child’s needs, and promotes lifelong activity with opportunities for caregiver participation.

No. We do not provide traditional swim lessons. However, therapy may include activities such as blowing bubbles, breath holding, and arm and leg movements that mimic swimming skills to build strength and support sensory integration.

We work with children and young adults from birth through 20 years old.

Research shows that natural environments—such as playgrounds, pools, and horse-riding barns—can support stronger therapy outcomes than traditional clinic spaces. They promote functional motor gains (improved strength, posture, and gait), reduce stress and improve mood, and increase motivation and engagement through sensory-rich experiences. Together, these elements create a holistic and effective therapy experience.
