Occupational Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy sessions should look and feel like play. The therapist will design games and activities to achieve goals in strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and movement patterns. Your child may not even realize how hard they are working.
Physical Therapists can help kids with many issues, including: — Recovery from sports- and non-sports-related injuries. — Delays in development, such as a child who should be walking but is not hitting the milestones for their age (sitting/rolling/crawling) — Genetic disorders, such as Down syndrome — Muscle weakness or imbalances — Poor coordination and motor planning – which is the ability to think of and carry out a motor act, such as jumping, riding a bicycle, completing an obstacle course — Neuro/muscle conditions, such as cerebral palsy |
